Collaboration between private and public
The new dwellings are equally split between public housing and private apartments. This was possible due to a close collaboration between Lejerbo Vejle (Public Housing) and the commercial organization Udviklingsselskabet Grejsdalsvej.
Sustainable strategies for water drainage system
The buildings are placed in a green field and the landscape is connected through a network of paths through the area. A nearby water stream makes it possible to implement modern sustainable strategies for the water drainage system.
The maximum usage of natural daylight
The geometry of the terrace houses was inspired of the characteristic topography of the landscape combined with a Nordic architectural expression. The driver for the orientation of the buildings comes from the existing housing as well as how to gain maximum usage of the natural daylight. The project is split into 5 phases of 20 apartments with various sizes from 75 m2 to 130 m2. The first phases are build and in use from medio 2017.
