Rørfabrikken is reflecting the modern city with a lot of different users. The dwellings are designed with a specific focus on fresh air and daylight. All flats above the ground floor have access to private spacious balconies with stunning views over the city.
A lively and active place during the day
The ground floor is meant for commercial functions such as shops, hairdressers and open consultancies which have a ‘public face’ to ensure a lively environment during day hours. Most of the parking spaces are placed underground and the surroundings are designed with soft staircases and green spaces for the public use to hanging out in the rapid growing neighbourhood. It also counts the refurbished factory of Hede Nielsen with e.g. educational institutions and a large fitness centre, the company house Bastian with several creative businesses and the plot for Campus Horsens which will be constructed during the following few years.
Resilient masterplan with three phases
Rørfabrikken is being build in three phases. The first part was ready in 2011, the next in 2015 and the latest part, which also count one more tower, was finished by new year 2018. All flats were sold or let out long before finishing the construction work.
