Extension and renovation of headquarters
RUM has developed a concept for the extension of Toyota Material Handling’s existing headquarters in Vejle, Denmark.

Toyota Material Handling – a leader in its field

Toyota Material Handling (TMH) is the world’s number one supplier of forklifts, warehouse equipment, and logistical solutions. TMH Denmark deals in and supports warehouse equipment and forklifts on the Danish market. This includes new forklifts from brands such as Toyota, Kalmar, and AUSA. The company employs 300 people, with includes 168 highly trained service technicians, located all over the country.

In 2021, TMH received an ‘EcoVadis Gold’- Sustainability Rating – appraising its efforts in sustainability and corporate social responsibility.

Extension of headquarters

With an offset in spatial analyses, RUM has developed a concept for the extension of TMH’s existing headquarters in Vejle, Denmark. The project includes a renovation of existing facilities, a new addition of 900 m2 showroom and office facilities, as well as an upgrade and optimization of the outdoor areas.

User involvement with focus on flexibility and sustainability

The project was developed in close collaboration with user groups and the management at TMH. The project supports TMHs ambition of optimized and flexible square meters, preserving existing buildings through a sustainable renovation, and their wish to accommodate guests in presentable and educational surroundings.
